Deryck is the Director of APR Consultants Ltd. Over the course of his career, he has acquired a wide range of experience in planning and research. Deryck's experience as a researcher is backed by resource management, science, planning, economics and natural resources qualifications. He was the principal of DJ Shaw Associates from 1983 until the formation of the APR consultancy in 1990. Deryck holds professional memberships with the New Zealand Institute of Management, the Royal Society of New Zealand, the New Zealand Planning Institute, the Market Research Society of New Zealand, and the New Zealand Association of Economists. He has also had extensive experience in a governance role with many local, regional and national bodies.

Jacqui’s expertise is in scientific research, technology transfer and technical communication. She has a keen interest in sustainable development, natural resource management, and also working with communities. Previously Jacqui worked as a private consultant, and prior to that, was a forestry scientist with Forest Research (now Scion). Jacqui obtained a Ph.D. in Forestry while working with the Texas Forest Service. She has an extensive publishing record including academic, peer-reviewed papers and articles for industry and general public.

He has extensive experience in repairing computers and has also previously worked in the desktop publishing industry. Nirai is skilled at using various software products, web design, computer trouble shooting and help desk service. He has experience in programming and maintenance, computer hardware maintenance and upgrading, operating systems administration and networks. He is certified to use an industrial photocopier.
